At the Sheriff’s Camp

Start Time 3pm

Santa will make an appearance at 4:30pm

Please have a gift wrapped and addressed to your child. Gifts need to be dropped off at HQ no later than December 13

 

Please bring a covered dish, we will provide hotdogs, buns, condiments, chips and drinks.

 

After the gifts have been presented by Santa, the adults are welcome to stay into the evening.

The annual corn-hole tournament will be next Wednesday the 27^th, start time is10am at HQ. Please bring in your boards and bags.

Ground Breaking Ceremony for the New Headquarters

Lady's Island/ St. Helena Fire District is pleased to announce that one of our own was chosen to be recognized by the Beaufort Exchange Club as their Firefighter of the Year.  Firefighter Scott Harris was recognized for the Heroic Actions that resulted in saving a life. While off duty, FF Scott Harris and his family were out on the family boat.  Scott's wife witnessed a victim enter the water from the Woods Memorial Bridge.  The victim did not resurface after entering the water.  Scott immediately navigated the boat to the area that the victim was last seen and without regard to his own personal safety, entered the water.  FF Scott Harris made several diving attempts to locate the victim before finally successfully doing so.  Scott brought the victim to the surface and using rescue swimming techniques, kept the victim afloat until rescue boats arrived.  His willingness to quickly, and without hesitation place himself in harms way resulted in a life being saved.  FF Scott Harris's actions and devotion to duty were a credit to firefighters and rescue personnel all over the world, and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the Lady's Island/ St. Helena Fire District
